Absolutely AMAZING campground. It's so good, I almost don't want to share my review and draw attention to it :p We stayed at Bushay Campground, not the Little Bear one. The water-view spots are well worth the extra 5/night. Nothing beats waking up with this view. The rest of the campground was very quiet and there were lots of empty spots. The toilets were clean and there was always toilet paper.
Like most campgrounds.. picnic tables, fire pits, water spiggots, restrooms... and lots of other people on a weekend. Loud till late, and loud again bright and early. Quite a lot of trees for shade or hammocks. Ease of access to the lake varies on where in the grounds you are. Pets welcome.
This is my favorite campground at Lake Mendocino. It got a nice new playground for the kids, a huge open area to run around, volleyball nets, and tons of bbq pits. Its got lots of campsites with fire pits, bbqs and plenty of room. The only thing I dont like is when the water is high it closes the road.
Currently closed for maintenance. The Army Corp is doing a great job with the place. In time, it will be a wonderful place, but not yet.
very warm in summer, other campers in the region were spirited dancing and howling. which i like
