Delightful spot. Riverside camping on a sandy bank, bright stars, and happy animals. If you’re climbing at Lover’s Leap this is the spot to book. No service but good wifi by the kitchen Sean is a top notch host - ask him about the land and he’s full of knowledge and stories
The name says it all. Regeneration Base Camp is THE place to regenerate the mind, body, and soul. The area is rich with recreational pursuits such as cycling and hiking on near perfect roads and exceptionally beautiful trails. Sean has a magical way of explaining his work at the Regeneration Base camp which truly inspires. His conversations give value to all ideas and are a wonderful accompaniment to his delicious meals. His land and the camping facilities are beyond gorgeous and the yaks are some of the most fun creatures to watch. If you are near the Scott Valley, make it a point to book a few nights there and if you are anywhere in the world, make it a destination. (My partner and I have stayed here 3 times during the spring, summer, and fall)
I had the most amazing stay here. The campsite on the river was supreme. Really a treat to stay in such a peaceful and rejuvenating place. Such a good time. I'd give them 6 stars if I could. I'll be back.
Just stayed at Regeneration Base Camp, here’s the scoop for climbers: Camp is next to a river with awesome views. It’s close to the crags—maximize your climbing time. Sean, the host, knows his stuff. Former Yosemite Search and Rescue climber, so he’s got great tips and stories. In short: Regeneration Base Camp is a practical choice for climbers. Good location, knowledgeable host.
What a great place to disconnect from your daily life and to tune in to your body’s own rhythm. Sean is a great host and his land is a beautiful place to explore. I stayed for 3 night over Labor Day Weekend and the creek was a great place to cool off during a hot day. The coyotes at night scared me for a moment, but they didn’t seam to care about me in my tent near the water. It felt good to be so connected to nature and I will definitely come back to visit. Super schön 🥰
