Stayed for 3 nights Very clean place. Campsites are set up nicely.. Woodsy atmosphere. There is a path you can take down to a small stream. The back road leads to an overlook, which will be picturesque and gorgeous in the fall.Weather was perfect. Will come back.

Nice campground just outside Rockford IL. Some pull through paved sites. Most are grass sites but have electrical hookups. No water at sites but available throughout the campground. Beautiful forested area. We stayed for an overnight as we were passing through and it was very peaceful. Discount available for ages 62+

After a terrible experience in Indiana the night before, I was so grateful to reach this campground mid-afternoon in mid-August. The camp host is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and keeps the sites and bathhouses in pristine condition. My large, private site, on the bluff with a breeze, gave me a much-needed chance to relax.

Best place around! Even better than rock cut, the bathrooms are cleaner, and the roads much better! Less bugs than hononegah, and cheaper than any of the other big ones. If I had one complaint, it was that there was absolutely no light in the handicapped bathroom. I know the light outside is supposed to be enough, but not for a 5 year old, or old ladies that get up 3 x a night. Have a heart on that one. I know yall do your best with the budget, and it shows, but still... Other than that, will come back all 3 seasons we camp! Well just remember to bring our flashlights! You've got a new cheerleader!😎💖 Update: out again this year! Lovely as always! Big fan of winnebago county camping! Best in the area!😎✌💗
