I came to this beautiful area of NC to participate in some volunteer recovery efforts from the widespread Helene impacts. 3 Feathers was nestled safely in the midst of so many affected special communities. Laura was such a gracious and generous host —even supplying volunteer opportunity details for me in real time complete with driving directions. I would LOVE to revisit 3Feathers in the near future. The well equipped and convenient ‘bath house/rest room/washer & dryer’ & WI FI made this remote creekside haven super comfortable.
Great bathhouse and shower set up! Also good to have wifi. Host was very responsive to change site since original spot was right next to road and there was a decent amount of traffic and noise. Negatives were all the cameras that watched us the entire time. Sites were also over grown with weeds and trash. Old chewed up dog balls, cigarette butts, and dog poop on the property. Fly bags were filled and need to be emptied also. We were happy with having the place to ourselves and it was very peaceful. Owner just needs to do some maintenance and disclose all the cameras. There was a large fallen tree that also looks to be a potential hazard.
We were riding motorcycles on the Trans America Trail and found this place. It was barely off the trail and was just what we were looking for. Clean bath house. Secluded and quiet. Wi-Fi. I highly recommend for any TAT riders or anyone needing a quiet, safe place to camp and take a hot shower. Also free firewood! Laura, the host, was super friendly too!
Laura & Chris are awesome! So helpful & attentive. Campsite was perfect. Unfortunately last 2 days it rained alot! But site was somewhat tucked in so not as wet as it could have been.
My son and I decided to do a last minute camping night. I had found 3feather Sanctuary a little while ago. It was very peaceful. We absolutely loved it. The bath house that they have is the best i have ever seen when camping. We have decided that we will come back here when ever we go camping.
This is a wonderful local camping spot. The host was able to book us last minute which we appreciated. The bathhouse is clean and modern and the fiber internet worked very well. The shower worked without issue. The stream was a lovely background sound to our sleep. We enjoyed sitting with a fire and watching the fireflies. I would highly recommend it for a more intimate appalachian camping experience.
Just an absolutely amazing place, with the best of hosts!! The bathroom and shower were really nice an we felt at home the whole stay. Everything thing we needed was on site, an it couldn't have been a more beautiful place. Grateful to have found this little chunk of paradise, and will for sure be coming back soon!!!
Great little campground. Bath house is very nice with hot Shower. You can really get back to nature here!!!!
