OAKKNOLL RV & CAMPGROUND

My family and I went to visit Oakknoll RV & Campground during memorial weekend. This was a very last minute booking. When I called to see what campgrounds they had available, I was treated very warmly by Jenn, the site manager. She was super helpful, answered all my questions, and recommended the retro RV. Jenn is an amazing host! She goes above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. We got to extend check out, and my daughter forgot her tablet and Jenn was so kind to safely store it and is going to send it to us by mail! She’s the best!! Check in and check out went smoothly. The kids loved the pool! The fire pits were my favorite! It was a fun campground with a lot of character! We will be coming back again!

I had a blast staying here and everyone was friendly. There's a real sense of community there. Jennifer and Mike were super accommodating and even though I showed up after closing hours.

It's a great place to go and enjoy nature. The Owner is extremely helpful , professional and his manager Jen have been great to me and my husband. I recommend it to everyone!! They have beautiful peacocks and th e cutest little pig named Baby!!

Wow what a surprise! We wanted to get out of town for a weekend and boy did we get lucky. We called Oak Knolls and spoke to Jennifer who let us know a cabin was available for rent. She helped book it for us and the process was super easy. When we arrived the cabin was a perfect size for our family of 5. Our 3 kids had fun feeding and walking Jennifers pot belly pig. The pool is only a month old and very clean. Jennifer gave us her cell number and anything we needed she helped us with right away! They even gave us a bundle of wood for the fire pit so we could have Smores. Everyone including the owner Troy went above and beyond. I would highly recommend. Julian is about 30 mins away and there is lots of stuff to do there. Thanks for a great trip Jennifer!

Oak Knoll Campground is how I found it not BaseCamp “Palomar” The location is great. Awesome dark nights to stargaze and listen to the wildlife. This place must’ve been awesome back in the day when the facilities were new and the pool was functional. We stayed in our 18’ van and only used the water and electricity, no complaints about that. We’re locals from Escondido so most likely will camp here again. $54 for a basic hookups space not too bad.
