Abel Mountain Campground

This is a very nice campground. WiFi was iffy but worked out. Grass RV site that we were in was spacious. Would return. Water quality was great…55 ppm by my measurements.

Campground was larger than expected but very nice. The pool was great, the sites are oversized, seasonal campers were nice and very friendly! We will definitely be back for another stay!

In short....2yrs...I sincerely recommend with all my heart! Nothing like taking your shoes off to walk on plush grass. The nights are cool with a crisp to the air. The band 4play was Devine! The dj's are very good. Beautiful... most beautiful campground with huge sites by the river. Vermont rainy season is July into August so bring umbrellas. They're are many days to swim and play corn hole though. Best place I've ever been except....KOA at Santee Lake in S. Carolina and Koa at Cooperstown, NY. THESE ARE ALL MY FAVORITES, BUT this campground is awesome. All a must see on your journey!

Great RV park. Sites are more spacious than other RV parks we've been to. Beautiful foliage views in October and we enjoyed our site right on the river. Quick ten minute drive to grocery store (Shaw's) and some nice local restaurants even closer. *Edited 7/2024: we went back to camp here for a few nights & it was beautiful. I highly recommend site 52 or 53. There's a stairway that leads right down to the river. We spent literally hours walking the river and relaxing on the little islands. The water was crystal clear. It was so private and peaceful and we will definitely be coming back here yearly.

Abel Mountain Campground was a great stop for us. The most impressive was the cleanliness of the bathrooms. They must clean them throughout the day as they were spotless. The tent site was nice, on plush grass and the electricity was great to charge our phones for the next day. The staff was very friendly. On Saturday night they had a band play down at the gathering spot and it was great! They gave rides to families/kids on their tractor, which was pulling a hay ride behind it. All in all a great time!
