My wife and I camped here for our honey moon and got a tent deck site. It was honestly a great experience. The camp staff are a 10/10 absolutely great and helpful people. We fully intend to come back. The last night of our stay we had a power line fall from a storm. The manager moved us right into one of their cabins free of charge and comped the night for us. It wasn’t their fault the storm happened, but we truly appreciate the hospitality. It’s a nice quiet location in the Smokey’s and not a horrible drive from gatlinburg and pigeon forge. Expect to see some bears rustling around, so be bear aware!
Nice campground. Grateful we got a tent deck site over the pond just because it rained every night for our 5 night stay. So we had our tent on the deck and still had room to spend time outside when it was raining. The pool is huge and we really enjoyed it. Lots of kids around when we were there so my kids had plenty to do. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the lack of restocking in the bathroom near our site. Otherwise, any staff we encountered were great and it was a good stay.
Very nice campground I would give 4.5 stars. Most everything was great but our site (161) is close to the highway and the traffic noise detracted from our experience. Next time I'll look for a site on the backside of the camp. My only other complaint is the lights outside of the bathrooms are incredibly bright. I suggest turning down the wattage so campers can enjoy sitting around a campfire without a spotlight in their eyes.
Nice campground. Beautiful scenery and creek set-up. An introduction from the site employees would've made it a 5 star stay. We called the 800 number about the sewage hookup and no one called back or stopped by the 3 days we were there to explain that the creek locations required dump services for 10.00 each time. Additionally, the other campers told us the day we pulled out that we could purchase gravel. It rained a lot and the site was SUPER muddy. Lastly, you need more than 2 showers for a large site. They also need to be updated a bit. If you include these small details and a local after-hours number on the check-in documents, that would be a game changer.
4.5 stars! We rented a camper for the weekend & had a nice little getaway with the kids! They loved the pool, waterslide, and playground! Everything was nicely setup! Our only complaint (& it’s not the campgrounds fault) is other parents not watching their kids as closely as they should. We will definitely return!
