Customer Reviews
Been coming here for years with my family. Always plenty of fun activities for the kids. We have a great time because we understand this is not a 5 star hotel and we expect the cabin to be minimal. We are camping and expect things to not be perfect. Also, I'd like to address some of these other reviews regarding the recent "no fires allowed" complaints. It is a STATEWIDE FIRE BAN. It's not the campgrounds fault. Nor is it their responsibility to inform everyone before they get there. Do your own research. Watch the news, listen to the radio, read about it. There are signs all over the highway that even spell it out for you. We still went. Brought a propane griddle. Brought a propane fire pit. Had a great time. Get over yourselves.
My family and I booked our cabin back in June along with 7 other families booking cabins too. We did this every year for the past 5 years. We arrived at the campground Friday and were checking in at the front gate and the 2 woman there told us we could not have campfires this weekend due to the state of new jersey being in a stage 2 fire restriction. I asked why did no body contact us before we arrived telling us about this? Why were we not informed of this? This is a big deal, people go camping to sit around a fire to relax and talk. I called the front office and spoke with a supervisor and she was not helpful at all. Not offering any discount or anything for the inconvenience of not being able to have a campfire. I walked into my cabin their was no shelves on the door of the inside of my fridge, I called to ask for shelves, they said they didn't have any. I had to get a card to let my husband in because he had to leave and come back and went to open up the gate for him and the key card the front office gave me didn't work. Our oven did not work, we had food cooking for an hour opened it up and still ice cold. They told us we could use propane or charcoal for a fire. So we went out and bought a propane fire pit, used it all day Saturday and around 10:30 at night a security guard told us his manager said we couldn't use a propane fire pit. This was the most horrible experience at a place that we used to love coming to. I think they need to hire some new employees that know what they are doing and have some good customer service! Will NEVER come back here again!!!
Amazing place. We go there twice a year and we always rent a cabin. Their cabins are always clean and well maintained. There are two bedrooms- one with a bunk bed and one with a queen size bed. There is also a sofa in the main room. Kitchenette and bathroom are very clean. The pool and the splash pad are wonderful. There are a lot of activities for the kids (train rides, crafts, games, glow stick parties, gem mining, bouncy house, new playground) not only on the weekends but also throughout the week. The employees are very helpful and friendly. They have free snacks and drink by the splash pad around 2pm. My kids are never bored there and they love coming back. I highly recommend this place. We will be back next year!
I have never had a problem here. We got at least once a year but try to make it twice. Halloween here is amazing. The trail is actually scary and fun. The activities are too notch as is the staff, they go above and beyond. The sites are large and the campground is clean. I enjoy this camping spot a lot.
Everything was great. The cabin was clean and well stocked with essentials. The pool and splash pad area were clean and well maintained. Lots of activities throughout the day to keep everyone entertained. Everyone on the staff was incredibly friendly. My only complaint is about other guests, who seem to lack any manners. Including an adult telling a child that he couldn't sit in a seat because he was saving seats for others at a free bingo event and other adults feeling the need to vape and bring copious amounts of alcohol to a pool surrounded by children.
