Customer Reviews
Great inexpensive place to bring your kids. The water slides were fantastic. The ability to swim outside and inside was also great. I felt safe letting my kids ride their bikes around the park. I felt the staff was kind, helpful, and respectful. I will definitely be coming back with my family. Loved the extra activities such as the train rides and free mini golf as well.
Great for a day trip with children of most ages. Staff is not that friendly! They appear disorganized at best! With that said maybe more training would help them. Otherwise, the water park area is great! Children enjoyed the pools and ride on the train that is cute! Plan to go back because the price is reasonable to use the day pass at $15 per person. I can’t comment on the camping but they fill up quickly starting Labor Day and if you want to make reservations for next year, plan to pay it ALL upfront! We will be back!
Sites were a decent size, and it was quiet during the week. But during the weekend there were golf carts all over the place and going way faster than they should have. The guard posted at the entrance was also less than pleasant. He was very short with us and acted like we were dumb for not knowing where to get a parking pass even though this was our first time at the campground.
This was our third year back to Adventure Bound, and it might be our last. We were surprised by how different things were this year. Right from the start, the older gentleman at when we pulled up acted very annoyed (borderline angry) at us because his paper said we were only 1 adult but it was my wife and I and our two kids. I told him that I put 2 adults and 2 children. He barked back that we’re going to have to go to the office to get it sorted out. Our receipt showed that we put down 2 adults, 2 kids. So we sort that out and go to our site. When we were setting up our camper, the power wasn’t working. I went to the office and asked for help. 15 minutes goes by and no one shows up. I call up to the office and they say they’ll get someone there. Another 10 minutes goes by before someone shows up. He looks at the panel, and jiggled it around a bunch until his tester went on, and closed the panel and said it was my surge protector that was broken (it was brand new). For the rest of the weekend, the power would go out and you’d have to get the plug sitting *just* right inside the panel to get it to stay on. But we didn’t want to move and so we put up with it. The next thing is the rentals. They took all the best spaces out front along the water park and put rental RVs on them. None of them were even booked and so we just stared at empty campers all weekend sitting in the spots we used to get in at years past. Other things too, like the store charged me $18.99 for a towel but then when my wife bought another of the same towel they only charged her $9.
A great place to get away. Staff is friendly and helpful. Plenty of activities to keep adults and kids entertained and busy but still plenty of quiet time to unwind, enjoy the campfire, the stars and the fresh air. With so many options to keep you going your entire stay, Adventure Bound is a MUST VISIT campground.
