These reclaimed free sites are great. Just register at the kiosk. Set up camp and listen to the bullfrogs and the birds. Buckeye hiking trail passes through. There are poly John's and trash, no water(bring your own), no cell

This is an awesome free, primitive campground. The sites next to the water are my favorites. There is no running water so be sure to take drinking water with you. There are picnic tables, fire pits, and trash cans at most sites. There are some big bass in the ponds. A lot of turtles, also. The only downfall is the "host" is an alcoholic that walks around intruding on campsites and blares his awful music until midnight.

I love all the AEP campgrounds in Ohio! They're clean, beautiful, and best of all free! Just be sure to go online and get a permit from AEP as its required to be able to use their land.

Gate says closed for maintenance, state says. The state is now using this site for group camping only. Boy scouts etc.
