One of my favorite campgrounds. Incredible scenery with jagged peaks on one side and a desert vista on the other. Each tent site has plenty of space and is near pit toilets. No showers, water at the ranger station before the road split. Located within walking distance of the Pine Loop Trailhead—six miles of ruggedly fantastic hiking that ascends through juniper oak woodland up into Ponderosa pine forest and back. I was there in late June and hardly saw anyone!

One of the most beautiful campgrounds I've stayed at in years. You get to the campground by traveling up a very wind-y road, which might be difficult for some trailers. But the views the whole drive up are spectacular and the road is paved and very well maintained. The campground costs $7 a night and you need either cash or check. There are over 50 campsites and when I was there it was only about a third full. Each campsite has a covered picnic table and its own gravel parking spot. There's no water or power, but there are pit toilets that are relatively clean. But the most wonderful thing about this campground was absolutely the views. You sleep beneath the stunning craggy mountain range and overlook the plains far below. Highly recommend.

Nice campsites with grills and fire pits. Bring your own supplies and pack out your trash too. It's quite during the week and loud on the weekend. Great hikes to enjoy. Get to the top early in the morning.

Cool campground. There's a long winding road to get to the campsites. I believe they were $5 a day for the site plus $7 for your vehicle. Great views all around plus there are some awesome hiking trails. This is also a great spot for a day trip with small shelters on each site along with a picnic table.
