My husband and I rented cabin 10 for 3 nights. Love the proximity to the OFSC trail. Our cabin was quaint and nicely decorated. Bedrooms were super cozy and the main living room was cozy once we had a good fire going. Suggestions of you are planning a stay here: bring lots of paper, firewood and kindling. Wood was a bit on the pricey side. The restaurant and bar area are great! The food is delicious and the service is super friendly.
We rented the 2 bedroom cabin and the place was nice and rustic, Kitchen had everything we needed. Our cabin has nice view of the lake and fall colors, the lookout point is definitely a must see, very serene and peaceful. There is alot to explore within the resort and nice playground for kids.I would definitely stay here again. Raj at reception is very nice and humble.
We've been here a couple times in the last few years and recently got married here! We could not have been any happier with the rooms, with the staff and with the food. I can't stress it enough that the food is amazing... have not been disappointed. They have beautiful tent sites, RV sites and rustic cabins. The cabins were so clean and the staff so inviting. I would recommend giving this place a try for any occasion. If you're looking to get married on the water, this is the place. Many of our guests commented that the wedding was one of the best they have ever been to. I'd like to thank all the staff for making our day incredible. We will be back every summer!
I held a memorial service here for my parents and stayed a week in a 3 bedroom cabin. The staff for the event were beyond amazing. The food was delicious! The service incredible. Mike the head of catering and Maryann head of events went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect! The staff for the resort were also friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately the cabin was absolutely terrible. For $3500/week at the end of August I expected to at least be comfortable. There is no air-conditioning, and they could easily put in portable air conditioners. There are no fans available. None. There were ceiling fans which were entirely ineffective at cooling rooms down. It was so unbearably hot no one got Amy sleep. I ended up putting damp bedsheets in the fridge freezer to help my kids get 30 minutes of coolness to try to fall asleep in. So that was awful. The cabins are so run down. I was shocked. The floor in the bathroom around the toilet was so soft, we feared failing through the floor any time we used the toilet or bathtub. It was so bad I was terrified to give my daughter a bath because I thought the weight of the water in the tub would crash the whole floor in. Yes it was that bad. There are small soft spots in the flooring all over the cabin too. The kitchen - it had most things necessary for cooking but the dish drain is so old the plastic is literally falling apart. When we arrived the cabin was tidy but nit clean. The dish drain board had a layer of scum on it. The bathroom sink also had a thick layer of scum around the faucet and taps. Just disgusting. The deck of the cabin should be lovely, but wasn't. It too is very very old and in need of sanding and new stain. The chairs on the patio had holes in the fabric. I can see that these were once nice cabins but zero money has been put into them for a very long time. To charge premium summer rates for what is in effect a really unsafe cabin to stay in is beyond outrageous. I rented the pontoon boat for my event. It's showing it's age with cracks in the seating upholstery and the engine wrapped out twice during our 2 hour boat ride. If we hadn't had my nephew who knows alot about engines and able to fix it, we would have been stranded. Wifi in the cabins is terrible and unreliable. There was a TV in the cabin with DVD player... but it wasn't ser up correctly and the nice girl in the office said the tech guy had gone in to each cabin to do work and left each system unusable. She had to come by and reinstall the missing cables etc. It's clear that no money is being reinvested into these cabins. I know they say they are "rustic" but in their case this is code for safety violations and falling apart. There are other resorts on this same lake that charge the same but have air conditioning and updated and safe interiors. I wish we had made a better choice in choosing accommodations.
We rented a 3 bedroom cottage for our boys annual fishing trip and the place was "rustic nice". Kitchen had everything we needed. Nice BBQ. Lots of towels and other supplies. I would definitely stay here again. They also provided a Docking slip at no extra charge. The fishing was great and the lake is pristine.
