Spent 2 days here in early Aug 2019 @ $40 per day. The owners will tell you they are the cheapest in town (and they may well be) but they are not worth $40 per day. The sites are dirt with brier patch weeds thrown in for color, very close sites, the water is shared so when the neighbor flushes your water pressure drops and the advertised WiFi is AT BEST 1 Mbps. Presuming you can get that! The game room looks like a drug dealer parlor and video game parlor mated. The bathroom/shower was/is not up to code. (view the attached pictures). No toilet paper in the bathrooms for paying customers. The house foyer doubles as the office. Arrived at 1 pm and had to wake Harold (the owner) to get a site and pay. Within 1 hour I complained to the owners about a barking dog tied up outside. Extreme lack of concern about the barking dog. I would not stay here ever again! Harold bragged to me on how he is cleaning up the place from all the drug users by raising the prices. I think he has a way to go. This place needs a LOT of work.

There was a negative review done in the last 24 hours. I am currently staying in Alamosa economy campground and it is nice and quiet. Yes it is dark at night. Most prefer that when camping! The new owners Harold and Jasmine are doing a great job of keeping this place clean and trying to make it better. It takes time and a lot of money to make a place perfect! Regardless of what the negative review said...if there is homeless here it's NOT a bad thing...please come and stay here...yes at the current time there is only one bathroom...but it's ALWAYS clean! Give this place a chance like we did. You won't regret it! I know I haven't!! And given the chance I will come back again and not someplace else! Keep up what you're doing Jasmine and Harold there will always be 1 negative Nancy out there.....just remember all the good!

Good place for a quick over night stay or even a few days stay. The owners r gr8 friendly people, that strive to have a gr8 environment n keep all the people that r staying on the premises happy n safe. They r also in the works of renovating some of the property to better serve the park. So if u have a chance, go by and see Harold n Jasmine (owners) at Alamosa Economy camp grounds. There prices r not bad either. 👍

My fiance and I drove up from Tx on a tight budget on the 4th of July and of course most Camp Grounds were not only full but they were pricey as well, until we found the Economy camp ground. So far we've stayed 1 night and it was quiet even for a holiday. The owners seem very nice and down to earth and they have plans to keep making this camp ground an even better place in the future as funds allow. It does take time and money to make things happen but I think they are doing a wonderful job so far and hope to see what else they are going to do in the future. For the price we paid and the spot we camped in I would give it a 5 out of 5 star rating as the place was quiet, shady, and clean. I don't have anything bad to say about the place and plan on staying a few more days and most likely will return to this location anytime I'm in Colorado and need a spot to camp.

An alright campground on the endive of Alamosa. It’s pricey for a tent site with what is offered. The “amenities” are in an old house, where there’s only one bathroom . . . One toilet, one small sink (no counter) and one shower, all together. (And no soap, toilet paper, or towels, so take your own!!) If other guests are there, you’ll have to hold it while someone’s in the shower or just brushing their teeth! There’s no good place to do this elsewhere if you are use to more wooded camping. The owner was very kind on the phone, but hard to get in touch with for payment. No one is manning the place regularly, so there’s no formal check in or contact with anyone and no alternative to check in and pay. We were planning to stay for 2 nights but changed to just 1 and can’t say I’d recommend a stay here unless it’s a last resort :(
