An excellent retreat from the typical RV campground. The Elks Refuge is a member only park in the foothills of the town of Tijeras, New Mexico. FHU and a restroom are available. Sites contain a grill and fire ring. Grassed area with a ball field, shoe horse pits and a large pavilion with a fireplace at one end for small gatherings. The camp host, an Albuquerque Elks Lodge member who lives at the campground during the season, is very friendly and welcoming to members and their guests.
