Me and my boyfriend just here yesterday for holiday on July 4th, as everyone we know this place on social media. But I am still scared now because he get attacked from alligator 🐊. When we was there, they don’t have any warning about that when he swims in the allowed area. Special with the kids because we never know until it’s happened on yourself. So everyone needs to be careful. Thank God, we are super lucky ( he wear long sleeve to swim) and the blood come after I take the pics. He’s okay but still very shock and scared. I will never go back.

We enjoyed our time there. There is no electricity so had to listen to generators during the day but they were good about turning them off at 10 PM.

I’ve camped here multiple times over the past several years, great place to come with your family and friends to hang out at the springs, get a shower and place to cool off while hiking the Florida trail, or use as a base camp for other adventures in Ocala National Forest. Staff is friendly and helpful. It’s best to buy firewood offsite as they run out quickly on the weekends once folks arrive.
