Algonquin Lakeside Inn

The hotel itself was beautiful, with amazing amenities, and my overall experience was positive. However, I was disappointed when I requested extra towels for my room with a jacuzzi and was denied, being told there was a strict "two towels per room" policy. For a hotel at this price point, I would expect more flexibility, especially considering the extra amenities in the room. Additionally, while the staff were professional, there’s room for improvement in customer service. Resolving small but important guest needs like this would go a long way in elevating the experience. Otherwise, everything else about the stay was fantastic.

Stayed here for what was supposed to be a romantic evening. There was no hot water and it was yellow. They came to look and showed my husband the hot water tank was working, but they couldn't get it flowing to our room, not that we would have used it once we saw the colour. The balcony was in disrepair, fireplaces are boarded over. So we paid a premium for a refund on with a hot tub and a fireplace and neither was usable. Tried to get a refund from Expedia, however the hotel staff wouldn't even respond to their inquiries. Stay away from this place.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Insanely over priced. Zero customer service. We showed up on snowmobiles at 630pm and told the restaurant was closed. There is no coffee in the rooms and the workers left in the morning during the restaurant breakfast hours. For 350$ a night I would expect more. Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere.

Very disappointed in this place. Do not recommend at all. We were expecting a lot more from this place especially for the price we paid for a private cabin. Not so private. It was fairly clean but lacking in other areas. Looks very tacky from the outside. Not even chairs to sit on the very small, not so private porch. Ours also did not overlook the water which is right next to the road anyway. Kitchen very small. Couch not very nice and no networks on TV. Wifi was slow. Didn't even try the restaurant because it was not appealing and has a very small menu. Beach and lawns are not kept well. Any lawn furniture was battered up and outdated. There was a large group of at least 30 people who hogged the gazebo area and Bbq's the whole time we were there. They were also very loud having brought their own Karaoke machine. Signs indicate that you cannot throw toilet paper in the toilet so have to put it in regular trash. We thought this was highly unsanitary and inconvenient. We were looking for a quiet, romantic weekend and got far from it. Booked two nights non-refundable and left after one night.

Good - Lactation was good , sunset view was good , BBQ deck is good. Bad - Hotel room too much expensive , they charged 663 for 2 nights, they said delux room , no TV no sofa in delux room. Water problem continuously in 2 days of stay , found small bugs in room( not bedbugs).
