Joe was a fantastic host. I stayed in the glamiping tent and had an exceptional nights sleep. The shower was clean and hot and the breakfast and advice given were superb. I’m super grateful for an amazing night to relax after a long travel day. And who could say no to that face? Sadie was the adorable campground mascot.

Nice quiet small campground. We really enjoyed our time there. Close to town, Parks and things to do. Nice stream runs through the area, lots of shade. Camper spots have water and electricity. There are showers and a dump station. Highly recommend this place!

Only things decent: Creek goes through the campground and apperently the teepee/glancing sites are very nice and worth the 130+/night. We tent camped ($30 and $5 per person) and had a very overbearing gentleman going to the bathrooms first thing in the morning and DEMANDED INFORMATION FROM YOU. THEN CAME TO THE SAME SITE AGAIN TO HAVE US REPEAT ND EVEN HAD TO TELL HIM YES WE PAID. YOU HAVE EVERYTHING. tent sites were very neglected, especially for having some worker/owner whoever he was constantly around, I'm shocked the trash isn't atleast cleared, or things even slightly managed/fixed. Jeeze Louise was this campground wacky. There's definitely something weird going on. Wouldn't stay there again unless there was nothing... and that night, there was nothing. The hills would've been more secure and comfy at this point. If you don't mind cleaning and have a large group this place is definitely a diamond in the rough, and with that would've been a better experience, but not like this.

The camp was just opening for the season, but it met our needs. Excellent location for sure. Brook, stream, creek, whatever you call it is perfect to play and soak in. It's NOT resort style camp ground, the site are grass and level. The lower area is the area close to the creek, and they are back in sites with ample space between sites. The upper area can accommodate any size RV. The shower house was clean and has GREAT showers, I didn't check the women's side, but I'm assuming it's the same. The dump station is near the shower house. None of the sites have septic, so you'll need it. I can see great potential for the place, that's why I loved it. It's not perfect, but it's my kind of place.

Love this campground! 35 a night for two of us to tent camp with a nice creek running through which is beautiful and great for cooling off! Not too far out of town so very easy to get to stores and restaurants. Our plans ended up changing so we asked for a refund of one night, and the owner was kind enough to help us out with that. Highly recommend this place!!

This is a cool place to stay in Hot Springs SD. Joe, the owner was born here and I would have liked to hear his story growing up. Our experience was likely very different than others since we were there at the very end of Oct and the grounds were pretty much deserted, water off but electricity on. Still, wonderful setting, some road noise, the problem all along the Fall River Canyon which is narrow. Can not comment on what it was like in the summer but really cool in the late fall. Mammoth Site is a must see. Lots of hiking in the nearby parks, bison, antelope, Custer and Wind Cave nearby.
