Introduce

Welcome to Amanita Campground, located in Donnelly, ID 83615. You can reach us at (208) 373-4100 or our mobile number +1 208-373-4100.

As a member of the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, Amanita Campground offers a lakefront camping experience. It is described by visitors as a well-maintained campground situated right on the lake. Amenities include a few water spigots and vault toilets for guest convenience.

Please be aware that recent maintenance has involved the cutting down of many trees due to root rot, which means there is currently limited shade within the campground. Additionally, the campground's proximity to a road results in noticeable vehicle noise.

Despite these factors, Amanita Campground offers "really pretty views of the lake," which many visitors appreciate. The campground is considered a decent spot for car camping, with some lakefront sites being particularly desirable. However, guests in other sites may find the experience just okay.

The campground provides good graded tent pads at the campsites, which offer a reasonable sense of privacy. Facilities include two pit toilets, one designated for men and one for women.

While some guests have expressed a desire for a better trail to access the lake without needing to walk through other campsites, the overall environment offers lakefront access for some and car camping amenities for all. If you are looking for a lakefront or car camping option in the Donnelly area with pretty lake views, consider Amanita Campground, keeping in mind the limited shade and road noise.

Well-maintained campground right on the lake with a few water spigots and vault toilets. They recently cut down many trees due to root rot so there isn't much shade. It is also right next to a road so there is the sounds of vehicles driving by. Other than those things, there are really pretty views of the lake. Wish there were a better trail to access the lake without going through another campsite.

This is a decent car camping spot, but unless you have one of the choice lakefront sites, it's just okay. Lots of road noise from West Mountain road. Only 2 pit toilets, one men's and one women's. Sites have good graded tent pads and are pretty private feeling.

Very sad campground to see the trees decimated. Stumps, dirt, and a general feeling of distruction. Even our table was broken. Beach is still nice is the only redeeming note. Rainbow Point next door is still nice and the nearby State Park options.
