Very nice rustic state campground (no running water or electricity with bathroom's being two outhouses). Sites were spacious and well kept, overall nice quiet campground with both lake frontage sites and wooded sites. ORV friendly campground with very good trail riding right from it. On the lake (Ambrose Lake) with a boat launch right in the campground.

Our hidden get away. My family absolutely adores this campground. It is quiet, peaceful, and incredibly beautiful. Rustic camp sites with several on the lake. Very well maintained. Bathrooms are kept clean and tidy. The lake is a great place to fish for bass, pike, and panfish. Nice concrete daily use boat launch with a small pier/dock The water is crystal clear. The surrounding forrest is a great place to walk and explore. It sits right on the trail for motorcycles, sxs, Snowmobiles, and 4 wheelers. A true 5 star rustic campground! Easy to maneuver large vehicles with trailers or campers. Some sites have extra/overflow parking. Another large parking lot for big outfits for daily use right on the trail head. We call it our secret getaway.

Easy check in. Generous space. Beautiful lake side site. Wish they didn't put boulders out to limit the size of rvs able to be in the site.
