Americamps RV Resort Introduce

Americamps RV Resort, located at 11322 Air Park Rd, Ashland, VA 23005, is a Campgrounds & RV Parks facility offering RV accommodations and amenities. You can contact them at (804) 798-5298 or +1 804-798-5298.

According to customer reviews, Americamps RV Resort is generally well-maintained and clean. The office/store is well-stocked, and the resort offers amenities like a waffle breakfast on weekends and organized activities for holidays, including bingo, movie nights, and concerts. The staff is described as pleasant and helpful.

However, some reviewers have noted that the sites can be close together, and in some cases, the proximity to neighboring sewer pipes can be a concern. Interior roads may require careful navigation due to tight turns. While most sites are relatively level, some may require minor leveling adjustments. The resort offers satellite-friendly sites in rows B and C, but Starlink connectivity may be challenging due to tall trees. Traffic noise from I-95 and Air Park Rd is also a consideration.

One reviewer mentioned a discrepancy in holiday rates, which was not communicated at the time of booking, affecting their budget. The nightly rate is considered by some to be on the higher side. The location offers convenient access to shopping, fuel, and Richmond, although traffic can significantly impact travel time to the city.

In summary, Americamps RV Resort offers clean facilities and organized activities, but potential visitors should be aware of the tight site spacing, potential noise, and variable internet connectivity. It is also advisable to confirm holiday rates during booking. The location is convenient for accessing nearby amenities and Richmond.

This is a great little RV resort. The resort itself is well maintained and clean. I was a little disappointed in how close you are to your neighbors. In some of the smaller sites, your door opens up to your neighbors sewer pipe. The sites are, for the most part, pretty level. We did not have to use leveling blocks. The office/store is clean and well stocked. They even have a waffle breakfast for those who want to socialize on Saturday and Sunday. They have different activities planned for those who want to be part of it for several different holidays. For Labor Day, they had bingo, a movie night, and a concert scheduled. All will be done by quiet time at 10p. We have enjoyed our stay. The only other thing I was disappointed about was that when we made reservations, we were not told there was a different price per night for the holiday rate. My budget was off due to that expense, and we had to make it up in another area.

We spent 5 nights here as part of a longer journey. The staff was pleasant and the park was well-maintained. I'd characterize the park as a little tight in terms of site spacing along with some of the interior roads requiring your full attention to turns. The park's map denotes satellite-friendly sites, and those are in rows B&C. I didn't put up my DISH Network dish, but the site had a clear view of the SW sky. On the other hand, Starlink looks to about 51º (~NE) in this part of the country and in this park that's tough one because of the tall trees. Our Starlink was partially obstructed, but it worked surprisingly well. Our site had a large tree at the front right, making departure tricky. We managed, but I'd likely avoid site B07 if we visit again. There was traffic noise from I-95, and from Air Park Rd which can be busy with large trucks. Shopping & fuel were convenient, and Richmond is 20-ish minutes away & much longer when traffic is heavy. I feel our nightly rate of $82 is on the high side all things considered.

Well maintained park. Great location for seeing Richmond and surrounding areas. However, we were unable to get satellite at our first site, which we requested. Extended a week, relocated to a site we were able to get satellite in. Convenient to the highway, which does come with road noise. We would definitely stay again.

This place is way more than I expected for a pull off-pull back on the highway campground. We literally left an RV “resort” in Myrtle Beach and stayed here on our way back up north, and this place has way nicer facilities and better maintained sites than the so called “resort” we stayed at in MB. The sites are level, clean and the hookups (full hookup, we used 50Amp service)are very well maintained. Whoever is managing this place is doing a fantastic job. It was so nice pulling into such a great place, especially after being on the road all day long. I wish we would’ve allotted more time to stay here! We will be back. Ps. Mario’s pizza delivers and it’s pretty good!

After a long day on the road we were very welcomed here. Less than a mile from 95. Park is beautiful and very well maintained. The plants and flowers are beautiful all around the park thanks to John and Peggy (I hope I got the names right). Pool was open and very inviting. They have a nice store with just about everything you would need. Thanks to the guys that directed us to our site and for bringing me firewood. Park comes with clean laundry room and bathrooms, a playground, a dog walk, basketball court and fitness center. And all the staff are very friendly!! Will stay again in the future!
