American Heritage is a wonderful RV park. It is close to 64, it is clean and well kept. The only thing I would have them pay attention to would be the shower stalls. They are clean but needing some TLC due to age. The hot water was not to hot but I was able to shower. I want to give a shout out to Ann and "Ann" at the front desk. Our family had a family emergency and a birth of a new grandchild all within a week and they were able to extend our stay and not move us. I cannot thank them enough. I would recommend this RV Park to anyone.

Booked this campsite, looking for a campground that was close to Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg. At first, I was unsure as to where the road leading up to it was taking me, but as I pulled in to the campground it was laid out very well. The staff was super friendly and gave some very helpful tips. The sites themselves are well maintained and easy to setup on. The campgrounds proximity to many places is great. I would definitely return when it is warmer.

We’ve been to this park quite a few times and love it. We have been there for Airstream Rally’s and the staff have been great with the preplanning & coordination. For holidays, the staff go all out with decorating and activities ranging from coordinated trick or treating to live music. The laundry facilities were a little dirty and I had to pull out my Clorox wipes but the machines worked well and there was lots of space for organizing. Tons of activities for kids. Small dog park but it was always clean. Lots of paths for walking with your dog on leash.

Always love using American Heritage when down near Williamsburg. Great park, good prices, easy to work with. Always a great stay! We used their cabins multiple times and have used their camper sites a lot over the years! Will always recommend!!!

We had a very peaceful stay at this park along with great weather. Nothing going on other than the sounds of birds chirping and an occasional train passing nearby. The location is a drive close to everything you’d want to see in this historic area. I sure hope they hire additional work crew and start investing some money into this park before it gets too far gone. You definitely want to pay for an upgrade if you have a large rig as some sites are very small. The patio furniture is old and mismatched but an umbrella was a nice touch. Loads of beautiful trees and a fantastic hiking trail through the woods. This is a gem, but it’s definitely showing its age.

Great customer service on the phone and they try their best to give you your row request. We were given our first choice. Bathrooms are centrally located but dated and cleanliness was acceptable. Was great we could mail postcards and buy ice from the office. Lot #96 was a nice concrete pull thru with extra area to park vehicle. My picture shows the lot across the street from #96. You could hear the train in the evening but otherwise quiet. Fire pits are available upon request without a charge. Had to go to the dumpster daily to throw trash away. Loved that they had recycling. Didn’t see staff out and about other than at the office. Great location…not too far of a drive to Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown, and historic Williamsburg. Would definitely stay again.

This is a nice RV campground, less than 10 minutes from York River State Park with great easy to moderate hiking options. Located about 15-20 minutes from Colonial Williamsburg and most of the dining/shopping options. Sites are clean and level but very close together. No trash pickup, but that's not a huge deal to us, especially since we were on the same row as the dumpsters. There is a nice little nature walk that circles most of the park - takes about 15 minutes to walk it. Pretty quiet at night, which is nice (no highway noise that I recall). Bathrooms are clean. A few opportunities for improvement: 1. allow campers to pick their own sites when they make the reservation (currently, they assign your site when you get there) 2. install poop stations (there are none in the campground, yet most of the people camping have dogs), and 3. ask the grounds crew to blow off the sites after they weed whack/mow - they splattered the sites and RVs with the trimmings.

We requested an RV site near a cabin where our friends stayed and they did which was nice. The park was clean. The only issue was there was very little lighting at night. They have some decorative small light poles, but none of them work. When taking a walk at night you need a flashlight to see.

Very nice campground. Quiet, plenty of space between lots, the bath house was one of the nicest I've seen. Very well maintained except for the campers that have been there long term... they needed some touch ups.
