The first site we were assigned had a problem with the 50-amp electric service. We were reassigned a different site where all the electric circuits worked perfectly. But this second site had a downhill slope, from curbside to street, and the water was still turned off for winter. So the water we had was pooling on the wrong side and we were only able to get a few gallons before the pump couldn't get anymore. Aside from those hiccups, the camp was charming and located nicely by the river, just off the highway. The showers and restrooms were perfectly maintained and toasty warm. ☺️ We were delighted to stay the night here, and we'd recommend it to anyone.
Absolutely loved this campground as it’s great for a quick overnight stay or a few days exploring Glenwood Springs. Super kind staff, clean facilities, and spectacular views of the mountains accented by the sun and moonlight. Very easy to get to local stores from the location as well. Definitely plan to stay again when back in CO!
Amazing view, awesome staff, quiet and space from other sites on property. We did a walk-in tent camp for 2 nights. The privacy was great with a nice mountain view. Near bathrooms and showers. The only complaint is that it is right off the highway, so it's a little noisy with traffic, but it's nice to be just about 5 miles from town. Would definitely recommend it and come back! Thank you for a great stay!
I used this campsite for tent camping. It is clean and well maintained. The campsite itself is rocky, so we were glad we had a mattress pad. The staff were super friendly and it was easy to check in and out. The bathrooms were immaculate! The views are beautiful and we got to watch the sun set on one side of us and the moon rise on the other. The other campers were nice and we shared s’mores with a friend we’d made. We were able to make a fire and use it to cook dinner and dessert. This campsite is right off of I-70 and close to many shops, including Tractor Supply Co. where we were able to pick up some camping gear we had forgotten. The local Target is also not too far away - but it’s on the other side of the highway. There is considerable highway noise, but it’s not something that bothered us in the slightest. This is a great location if you’re looking for frontcountry camping!
Stayed here 3 nights in July 2024 in our RV. Wanted to stay in Glenwood Springs and there weren’t very many options for our dates. This place was surprisingly nice. The sites are spacious and level. It’s a no-frills campground; there’s no pool or any recreational activities. The bath houses are older but were extremely clean. There are some long term people here with rugs that look like they cannot be moved off their sites. Also other reviewers complained about highway noise but that didn’t bother us at all, you can hear it but not loud inside the RV. We would definitely stay here again for the price. The only recommendation for improvement would be to re-grade the roads. They are very, very bumpy as you drive throughout the small park. Also, we were in site 11, which is a shaded pull through site. It was very nice but it is a very steep walk up to the bathhouse. It is not an ADA accessible walk up should you need to use it.
