We visited during Thanksgiving weekend, we drove from Florida a d the weather during our stay was really cold soo we didn't got to enjoy all their summer goodies, but we didn't needed any of them to have the best family RV stay. The campsites are very spacious they are leveled and paved and very clean, the whole campsite and premises are very very well kept, we rented 2 golf cart for easy access to the bathrooms and amenities and for roaming around the campsite and it was soo much fun. The place was quiet and calm the neighboors were friendly but respectful, we were on site #22 with a firepit for the smores and keeping warm on the cold nights, we arrived and bought the 3 for $20 firewood and lasted for the whole weekend and im not going to finish this review without letting you know if you are thinking on staying here, let me tell you....they are not lying when everyone is talking about this lake and mountain views they are breathtaking, the views from our campsite were like watching a post card in a different ambiance at different hours but pictures don't make justice to how stunning and breathtaking this views are 10/10 is worth the wait( if you are not able to snatch a campsite at first try don't get discouraged just plan ahead and keep on trying it is soo worth it, if you dont find a good spot just grab 1 it I'll be worth it no matter were your spot is all of them are kind of placed perfectly. Usually they have to be reserved 2 years in advance soo if you find one of the prime/Premium sites don't think about it too much their gone fastest, and if you don't find a premium grab a regular campsite is still breathtaking from every corner.
This was our second stay at Anchor Down RV Resort Dandridge, TN. RV sites are long and wide with ample distance between sites. Numerous have beautiful views of the lake and mountains in the distance. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Everything is top notch. Plenty of good shopping and eating places close by. Higly recommend.
The place is beautiful. However the sites are to close when someone has a fire it sucks into the camper and smoothers you. Be prepared if you need a groc store it is a little ways away. Depends type of activities that you like to do research the location and take into account a lot of traffic.
