Most of the lake access has been closed to public for more than an year. I don’t doubt that’s an amazing place, but if people cannot get close to the lake is pointless to get here. Strongly don’t recommend until the construction work is done and the picnic areas are reopened. It could take years however, I don’t know.
Nice place to walk around, quiet area, there is some people who are going there for fishing, but no setting area or playground.
Very peaceful park located close to 101, Morgan Hill, CA. About 30 minutes away from San Jose given the traffic is less. The dam gives way to an awesome sight, although the level of water in the reservoir was less today. Lovely green pastures to hike and spend the day.
So nice to just head a few minutes down the road and hit some trails and put your feet in the water! Weekends are packed with people so keep that in mind. There is more parking spots for trucks and trailers then just cars. So may have to park in the lower lot and hike up...water and good shoes is that's the case.
Its a pretty nice park. On the lower park area's they have picnic tables, bbq's, restrooms, a creek running through it. Nice combination of shade and sun in the park area. Good place to walk dogs or stop and have lunch.
