Stunning fall colors and snow capped mountains. Spent one night there on our fall camping trip. Only a few other campers, so we really had the place to ourselves. Super quiet, short drive off of highway 80. Great place to ride a bike, if you want some serious exercise. The bathrooms were clean.
Lovely location half way up the mountain. Easy to understand self check in instructions and had water and power hook ups. Our site (#2) had partial tree privacy and the sites are not jammed in. Fire pit and picnic table on the roomy site. No showers, but the pit toilets were clean and well maintained. Exceptional value at $17 a night.
Wonderful campsite, we had campsites 9 and 10, plenty of space between campers, the restrooms were cleaned daily and the area maintained beautifully. 5 minute drive to Angel Lake and hike trails. About 15 minutes from town but it feels remote enough to be in touch with nature. Highly recommend this campsite.
This is a camp ground. Our first time in one as well. The camp hosts are great. They have restrooms and are kept very clean as well. We had a great time. We will be back. We had sites 6 and 7 and they were very nice and away from others. Great place.
Pay attention to signage on I-80 East to avoid the wrong exit (GPS is wrong). No drinkable water, but the toilets were ok. No paper slip on our fence post, despite us having a reservation, so it’s a good thing nobody poached our spot by the time we arrived in the evening- Definitely call ahead if you’re concerned about that. Cows didn’t bother us. Great location!
