Sites 69 to 73 has lake view. Over all a nice place with good trails around them. Not very far from city but still peaceful. Though wish the bathrooms were more spread out for easier accessibility. Parking is free for the lake below for anyone camping but you need to drive down
Great place to hike walk or bike with large or small groups, or solo. Well marked, many trails of all kinds. Nice little snack bar by the marina and kayak rentals are easy and convenient too!
A wonderful campground in the heart of the city. Very hilly. Lots of challenging hikes. No swimming. AT&T worked great. Our site had full hookups. Saw wild turkeys every morning.
About 15 minutes after our arrival, maybe less, my family and I had already decided that we'd be back to camp at Anthony Chabot Campground again. Despite the rain! It's clean, quiet (so, so quiet), and beautiful! Surrounded by towering eucalyptus trees and the rolling hills of the East Bay. Plenty of trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. We camped in a trailer at a site with full hook ups. 100% we will be doing that again but, were also interested in camping further into the park (no hook ups) in a site that over looks Lake Chabot. RV/trailer, tent, or hike-in I really don't think you can go wrong camping here. Check it out. You won't regret it If my photos don't convince you I don't know what will.
Great nearby place for camping ⛺️. Enjoyed overnight stay. Make sure you take a wagon. We missed so had to do lots of lift and shift and got tired 😪. It would be great if parking is close to camping site.
