Cool place. We walked up the hill and skied down one of the small runs. Decent powder conditions. We had a late start. You have to get a permit to camp overnight in the parking lot. They also had a beacon training field nearby.
The hike around the lake and seeing families bond over camping and hiking was heart warming, the best part was when it was time to eat, i guess the food was too good there were no more seats left, but people who were done eating did not hesitate to make way for others to sit and eat too.
The lodge and the ski area are awesome! Might be the most underrated place I’ve ever been to. Love the saloon in the lodge, the terrain has a lot of variety and snow quality is great. They won my heart over by serving hot dogs and red wine in the yurt at the top of the lift. This place is truly a hidden gem
