Anvil Campground

Found this place due to our prior booking falling through. I could not be happier that happened. This place was amazing. We stayed here a little over a month. Staff is fantastic. Very clean and well kept. Game room was great for the kids. Great location to the surrounding attractions. Will definitely be staying here when we come back in the summer.

We had an amazing time. The campground was peaceful and relaxing. Great atmosphere all the way around. Had the opportunity to speak to one of the owners while in the General store. He was very nice. He told us the history of the campground which was really neat. Well maintained property. The train going by was awesome and kids loved it. All around wonderful trip and will be back.

We didn’t get to stay at the campground because we had a travel emergency en route and were forced to cancel. My review is about the customer service and care of the staff. Even though their cancellation policy is standard and fair, they were kind enough to handle our cancellation with care and send me very nice notes of concern. It says a lot about a company when they extend great courtesy to those they never even meet. We will rebook when we have a do-over trip.

Anvil Campground is one of the best campgrounds around here! It’s small, but the grounds are well maintained, and there’s a heated pool! The train does go by, but it’s not annoying, and doesn’t rattle your camper or anything like that. I think it adds to the campgrounds charm. The campground has a fully stocked store for RV or grocery needs. And onsite 24 hour laundry is just a walk away from your camper. The staff here is AMAZING! They are family owned and everyone here is so kind and professional and a pleasure to talk to. I’ve never had any issues with my campsite and their bathroom facilities are sparkling! It’s central to all the awesome things Williamsburg offers so you’re not out in the boonies like some other campgrounds. They keep their pet waste stations filled with bags, and they have a game room too! It feels very safe here. Highly recommended! Prices are reasonable too.

Our experience at Anvil was absolutely fantastic! The campsite itself was clean, well-maintained, and offered all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. Whether we were exploring the scenic surroundings or relaxing by the fire, everything was perfect. The natural beauty of the area made it a peaceful and relaxing retreat. The staff at Anvil truly made our stay unforgettable. They were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us, ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout our visit. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality made us feel right at home. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be returning!
