Really liked the location of the campground. The running water toilets and sink to wash dishes was really nice to have- no issue that it was only cold water at loop C. Easy walk to Lake McDonald and one of the visitor centers. And nice to already be in the park each day.

Winter camping, loop B is free (the only one available). Heavily wooded, limited Verizon signal, vault toilets had lights which were a nice touch. It's pretty barebones but for free? In Glacier? Can't beat it.

We loved our site D160 and it was quiet, peaceful and close to Apgar Village and Visitor Center. The path to the Visitor Center and Apgar Village was great for walking the dogs and getting to the lake. The bathrooms were clean and the rangers did a great job of enforcing rules to keep people safe and generators only running when allowed. The showers were definitely not the best and a long line since the campground was full and only had a few showers. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back to Glacier in the future.

Only 3 shower stalls in the entire campground for over 200 camp sites. Yes I’m happy there was at least a shower, however, the campground doesn’t seem to be able to provide basic human necessities like showering for the quantity of people that are staying. You have to wait in line for a long time to shower.

The campground was in a beautiful place even though the sites were close to one another, if you want to have your rv sitting so the door opens to the fire pit etc be sure to reserve a spot on the outside loop.

We stayed at the Apgar campground for a week in mid September of 2024. The campsite was absolutely beautiful and was centrally located. Everything but my interaction with the camp host was wonderful. We had an extremely poor interaction with the camp host (male/elderly) in loop A the first day. I briefly left our campground to use natures bathroom. Came back a few minutes later to Mr. Host in my campsite. “Mr. Host” was extremely rude and unprofessional about my generator being left running “unattended” and my empty cooler being left out. Instead of giving me a brief explanation or warning. Mr. Host proceeded to scold me angrily and scream that he was calling Law Enforcement (whatever). Law Enforcement arrived (annoyed of course with the petty reason for the call) and gave me a verbal warning. Mr. Camp Host from Florida… you could’ve handled this situation way differently and not have been such a jerk. If I’d known I was staying in 1940’s Germany I would have booked a different site. Our chalks for our camper were also stolen to add a cherry on top of our stay at this campsite.
