Welcome to Apple Canyon Yellow Post Camp Site #2, located in the scenic Mountain Center, CA 92561. As a part of the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, this site offers a unique dry camping experience for those looking to immerse themselves in nature. Please note that the access roads can be a bit rough, requiring slow and careful driving, especially when pulling a camper.
Based on user reviews, Camp Site #2 has been noted as having a particularly rough road for camper access. It is important to consider this when planning your trip. However, the campsite offers some level of protection from the elements compared to Camp Site #1. Camp Site #3 also provides protection and is within a short walk to a babbling creek. If you are looking for direct sunlight for solar charging, Camp Site #1 is recommended.
This is a dry camping area, meaning there are no hookups or amenities provided. It's essential to come prepared with all necessary supplies, including water and power. The area tends to be popular, so you can expect to have other campers nearby. If you are seeking complete solitude, this location might not be ideal. However, it serves as a viable option when other nearby BLM or Forest land camping locations are unavailable.

Roads are a little rough to pull the camper through but doable at a very slow pace. Campsite 1 offers the most direct sunlight for solar charging. Campsite 3 offers a short walk to a babbling creek. Campsite 2 was too rough of a road and not worth pulling the camper through. This is a dry camping area. Seems to be a popular place and always someone nearby. If you are looking for solitude this might not be the right campsite for you. However we were unable to find any other approved BLM or Forest land to camp on nearby legally.
Post 2 and 3 are a bit more protected then 1.
Nice little easily accessible site close to Lake Hemet - so not as quiet as some other yellow post sites nearby on Thomas Mountain. The fire ring and picnic table are in good shape, with plenty room for 2-3 tents and some good hammock hanging options.
So nice and free. Everytime we've been here it has been great. Private and wooded.
Fun and will go again
