Absolutely beautiful Resort! Breathtaking views. It is so worth rising early in the morning to catch the beautiful sunrise. The staff is amazing! From the office to the grounds keepers. The convenience store is available with just about all you may need. We could see all the available amenities offered, but we did not utilize any of them other than the convenience store. The museum was a great place to visit for a Saturday morning. I am sure This is a resort you will revisit often. I know we will definitely be back soon.

My husband and I stayed here for three weeks in August and loved this campground! Beautiful views and lovely amenities! The clubhouse, pool, hot tub, and store were all very nice. The staff members we interacted with were all very friendly and trash was picked up for us promptly! It was clear this park is well maintained. The one very minor critique was that the laundry machines were quite expensive and only took quarters and there was not an available change machine (I believe during their open hours they may help with change at the office). We cannot wait to return and definitely plan to stay here again in our future!

Arrived to get an escort to our site, nice touch. Unfortunately our escort inserted himself into our process of backing into the site. After a couple maneuvers, I called it good, sent him on his way, and then positioned things the way we wanted. When making reservations, I noted the rarity of trees and paid an extra $30 to reserve a site near a tree. Upon arrival I found that the tree was gone. The attached trailer park view greeted me every morning. Our walks through the property did not find "campsites" as much as it found a grass-covered parking lot for RV's. Not all was negative. The bathrooms, community center with fitness center and library were beautiful. The camp store was exceedingly well stocked with reasonable prices. In summary, do not expect a camping experience here. Rather, expect a hotel environment where you bring your own lodging facilities.

We had a wonderful 4 day stay. Enjoyed golfing, the pool and even kayaking a small part of the lake. The facility is immaculate and well cared for. Staff was super pleasant and helpful as were many of the full-time residents. Would definitely go back again and reserve a Platinum site to take in that gorgeous lake view.

We discovered Apple Island Resort a few years ago when we started looking for places to travel with our new travel trailer. The facility is excellent in all regards: RV sites are clean, level, fully equipped. Full water, sewer and electric, and all works as promised. WiFi service is good and subject to typical slowdowns during periods of heavy usage but signal strength is good to very good. Every staff member is friendly and welcoming and goes above and beyond to ensure your needs are met. We ended our camping season last October with a mid October stay and had a blast. We were so glad to see that they opened for a limited stay, early in April this year for the solar eclipse - South Hero was in the path of totality. The ground was a bit soft and the snow was all gone (despite several inches from a storm less than a week earlier). The nights were cool (in the 30's) the days were sunny and upper 50's. Most local restaurants and sites were open early. There is so much to see and do in the area - especially if you enjoy being outdoors. We had a spectacular view of the eclipse on Monday and celebrated by making another reservation for the fall. An owner (Gary) and manager (Kevin) are available and onsite and checking in with campers to ensure everything is going well. They really work hard to ensure you are having a pleasant visit. We had a mechanical issue with the camper and were referred to a local service that came immediately to our site and resolved our issue for a very reasonable fee. I heartily recommend and endorse Apple Island Resort in South Hero. I believe you will not regret the visit.
