We had 2 rooms .. both smelled very musty and like they were trying to get rid of years of smokers , when we went in and one during the night started smelling strongly of septic backup . It was quite unpleasant. The rooms were clean but very dated. As were the bathrooms. Good towels and small bar soap and tiny shampoo. No one at the desk both on arrival and departure. Probably would not stay there again.
I have stayed at this resort at least 4 or 5 times and I would never consider staying anywhere else. The staff is wonderfully friendly and accommodating! The rooms are clean. The check-in and check-out are quick and the location is perfect for downtown Fish Creek or any of the other close-by cities you'll want to visit. It's just like home away from home, honestly!!
Hands down one of the best places I’ve stayed. The staff were over the top accommodating. We were there due to boat and weather trouble but this hotel and the staff made it a vacation! We couldn’t begin to thank them enough!
Overall we enjoyed our stay and appreciate the assistance from Casey. Unfortunately issues started from the first phone call. It seemed as though we spoke to someone who was intoxicated, which caused us concern. Upon arrival we were put in a different room style than we requested and paid for. We were eventually put in the correct room. The sofa sleeper that we needed did not have bedding on it. Unfortunately the office closes at 9pm and we weren’t able to get bedding for our first night. The next day when we requested bedding the owner said she wouldn’t be charging us and gave us some grief about it, which I found disappointing.
We traveled from Texas to visit family...they insisted we take a few days in Door County. AppleCreek Resort had good reviews and was centrally located. We opted for a balcony but didn't spend much time there. There was too much to do in the area. Lynne gave us a wonderful map showing such spectacular sights and must do's. We met incredible people along our way. Highly recommend the Applecreek Resort, hope your stay is as fun as ours was.
