What is Worth Choosing Appleton Lions Park Campground
For Minnesota residents, especially those who rely on an RV or larger travel trailer, choosing Appleton Lions Park Campground is a decision that prioritizes seamless convenience and exceptional value.
The primary draw is its Full-Service, Big-Rig Readiness. Finding a campground that can comfortably host a large vehicle with easy entry, level pads, and 50-amp full hookups (electric, water, and sewer) is a major selling point for RV travelers. This level of service minimizes the setup and teardown time, allowing you to maximize your relaxation and recreational time. Knowing you have a reliable dump station and clean, accessible facilities is invaluable for a multi-day trip.
Furthermore, the Balance of Nature and Necessity is perfect for a local getaway. You are camping by the Pomme de Terre River, with access to nature trails and fishing, yet you are not isolated. The proximity to Appleton’s city center means immediate access to forgotten supplies, an ice cream treat, or an emergency service—a comforting factor for families. It’s a quiet haven that doesn't compromise on urban practicality.
Finally, the consistent positive feedback on the Cleanliness and Maintenance—especially of the bathhouse and showers—reinforces that this municipal site is held to a high standard. This ensures a comfortable and pleasant stay, whether you are stopping for a single night or settling in for a fun, extended weekend of fellowship and exploring the Minnesota River Valley area.

Very convenient place to camp. We pulled in with a large bus and trailer and were able to easily get 50 amp service and water. Bath house and showers were clean, and the dump station was nice. Super easy access and quiet location.
One of the funniest weekends ever By far the BEST TIME in years. Who ever said Sober people can't have fun should try it. Here's a nice picture with not only family members but awesome friends. Thank you to the ROAMERS 4X4 LIONS CLUB of Fargo ND for the awesome fellowship and great time
I'm enjoying my stay here. Only bad thing was I forgot my bag with my hygiene products in the shower area. When I went back they were gone. My fault but other then that it's a nice place.
Quiet camp ground right in the middle of town, walking distance to bars, restaurants and fishing!! Clean bathrooms/shower house plus station for cleaning fish!!! Only minutes from the atv/motorcycle riding park!! Affordable prices
Everything was great other than that they didn't enforce quiet time also was under the impression there was a host camping on the grounds but did not know who it was and they did not come by and introduce themselves would have expected this
