Customer Reviews
As March 2025, the water is very low where launching a boat is unlikely. Unless there is some significant rain, this may destroy much of the fishing for many years.
A pleasant place to spend a night or two. Bluestem SRA does not have powered camping sites, so if you've a camper, you'll need a generator. One of the main benefits of staying, however, is easy access to the often sandy shoreline. It's not all beaches, but many of the camping spots are situated so a kayak or canoe can be launched fairly easily.
This time I was just taking my dog for a walk on a beautiful fall day, but when we had a boat, we've put in here to see friends camped in this area. It's just far enough away to believe you are alone but still have the niceties of a bathroom.
Love this lake. Its peaceful camping sites are spacious would recommend this spot for anyone wanting to get away from town life.
Always a great time here. Weather cooperated, park is always clean. Very family friendly compared to Branched Oak and Pawnee.
