Decent campsite right in the park, I didn't like how close it was to a busy road but depending on the site it isn’t too bad. My biggest issue was that there was a TON of trash left in our fire pit from the previous occupants including plastic and even a broken wine glass. It was obvious our site was not cleaned.
Great place, could be little tight for 40ft plus RVs but it's possible. I got it and out with my 42ft. Close to lodge and beaches to go swimming.
Will not camp there again. Pull through's? Some are. This camp ground was built for short rigs. Extremely tight getting into. Picnic tables are rotted and grills have no bottom. Camp host admitted he could fix the grill in just a few minutes. Said we should have said something earlier. Did have a lot of deer to watch.
No directions from park as to where to go. Took us 30 mins just to find our loop. Horrible road traffic noise. Speed limit is 25 and cars were doing 55. Not peaceful and relaxing at all.
Great stay. No television, cellphone, internet access and no am stations. Only received FM stations. All sites concrete slabs and level. We had full hook-up. Hochatown has anything you need. Bathrooms and showers kept clean and open 24 hours.
ABSOLUTELY love this area. The campsite is super peaceful unless you just happen to get unlucky and have neighbors that have kids that are wild as banshees. There were a few people that had kids that needed manors, but it wasn't something the park could control. It's usually a parent issue. The only thing this park needs is a dog park area. Not every dog will poop on a leash and want to go sniff other spots and do that in private and peace. We are a 2 service dog household and dog parks, and giving our guys a piece of freedom to do their business is a priority. Would I recommend Beavers Bend State Park? 100% I would. I dock 1 star for no dog park.
Our second time here and it didn't disappoint, we love the campground. Far away from the traffic but close to stores and the entertainment.
