This campground is immaculate with all the amenities that a camper needs! The grounds and sites are taken care of properly. The laundry works great! The staff are respectful, professional, and friendly. What May not be common knowledge is that there are mountain bike trails within a few hundred yards of the campground and they’re fantastic.

This is a wooded lake side camp. It is so beautiful and peaceful, so quiet. The RV suites have electric and power, but the primitive tent sites are right on the water, they all have grills, picnic tables and benches, andcamp lantern hooks. They have clean bathhouses (tough toilet paper, bring you're own) that are all nearby. The lake is Rocky, ago the have a sand beach swimming area, the kids loved it. There are lit pavilions with larger grills and tables and lots of power outlets. We had to escape hurricane Florence, this is our 3rd site and it is only $6 a day primitive camping, $15 for RV sites. The Air Force readily knows how to have beautiful recreation areas. There are also playgrounds.

A beautiful park, BUT NOT big rig friendly. Tight turns, access to the dump station difficult since no sewers at sites. Restrooms/showers were great.

Love the camping experience at this famcamp. Lots of trees, near or on the water, great daily rates of $30 per night. Water and electric on site with sewer dump. It's very quiet as well. Now the cons...office staff a little "snarky" and some routine maintenance could be done in the campground like broken clips on poles, broken poles, lots of poison ivy some being very mature and hanging close to the roadways. I still give it 5 stars because it checks all the blocks for me.

Definitely have your jack pads ready. Most of the sites are not well graded and are not level. Could use additional signage to help navigate the campground. On the plus side, most of the sites have concrete pads. Check in was easy and they were very nice. Kinda remote and not much to do. Which may be a plus if that is what you are looking for. For those with access, commissary nearby is okay, smallish. Exchange is extremely small, I thought we walked into the Package Store. Laundry was good 1 wash and dryer, but reasonably priced. Bathhouse is well kept with plenty of hot water and good showerheads. Overall, didn't hate it, but didn't love it either.

This was our second stay at Arnold AFB FamCamp and we enjoyed it very much. The campground is wooded and the lake views are amazing. Cindy and Mike at Outdoor Rec were both very helpful and friendly.

While only open to DOD employees this is a quiet, peaceful location with a lake view. It has a TINY beach that will fit a family of four comfortably in back of one of the rv spots. The camp stays quiet if you don't mind the loudspeaker blaring three to five times a day from the operations center. The bathrooms are clean and fully functional but there are water saver shower heads so the water pressure isn't all that great, just personal opinion. Water and electric hook ups are available, 30 and 50 amp, but no sewer connection. Blue boys are provided and a dumping station behind the bathrooms. The commissary and BX are pretty tiny and there is no gas station on base. There are plenty of sights to see, hiking areas and local color if you choose. Overall we are having a great experience here.
