Love it !!Lived on Lake as a kid and often camp there to Fish ..They are improving Camp Grounds now to be reopened in the spring of 2025
Serene, peaceful, relaxed, like a secret little slice of heaven. The morning sunrise is absolutely brilliant, the evening colors are just as amazing. Facilities are dated but still very suitable. The sites come with paved pads, grilling grates, and picnic table. Ground is fairly level, however we did notice sites that may require more than normal leveling blocks. Boat ramp, is adjacent to the campground. We will definitely be returning.
This is a nice campground but needs updating. If there was ever a campground where I needed a water flow restrictor this is it. Your RV shower will nearly make you bleed. The bathrooms here are very dated. Some of the sites are very close. All that said the sites are paved and the scenery is beautiful.
Beautiful grounds with paved RV slots. W&E hook-ups BUT, be prepared with extra length for both connections. My hook-up was 35' away from my trailers' connectors. Brown lake water? Must be normal for this area. The problems lie within the reservation system. It is NOT 'user friendly' at all. You can't complete the information form from your phone or tablet. You have to use a laptop. THEN, you do the searching site by site to see if there's an opening for the days you want. The website DOES NOT tell you what's available for your dates. YOU have to check each site. How stupid is that!?! So, finally, after hours of frustration, I was able to get a site, but not for the length of stay I wanted and not any of the sites I was considering. Got to the site (#52)... no fire ring. Only a grill. The electrical box cover came off in my hands. Long & narrow with no room for my dog to roam. No dog park. I am not a happy camper at this place. PS: As I look around, there are maybe 10 campers here and 30-40 open slots. End of March time frame. I bet I'm not the only traveler who has encountered such frustration trying to secure a camping spot. I hope you have better luck than me!
Very Nice Park with great sites. Disc Golf at Claystone Park nearby is included with your camping fees! Huge bonus for us. The bathrooms leave a lot to be desired, and the showers are large but only have a curtain, not a stall door. The onsite laundry facilities are disgusting, the machines are either broken or rusting apart, we went to a laundromat instead while there. The staff is helpful and friendly.
