Beautiful place! It is right next to the street,. So the sound of traffic is very close by. Other than that it was great! Clean bathroom, very well Kept.
There's only one reason I wouldn't give this campground a 5-star rating. I was backed into my site in my RV, right on the river and next to the bathrooms. Fabulously gorgeous, but...the traffic zooming in and out all day long just to use the bathroom there was ridiculous. They had no intention of camping there but just wanted to use the bathroom. I counted 20 (cars- per- hour) minimum all day long driving in and stirring up the dust and zooming out stirring up more dust, just to use that little bathroom. What would've been a beautiful and peaceful experience from 9/18-22 2018 turned into real irritation. It would be nice if the state would create a bathroom roadside with a small parking area. That would be a very good thing.
A small campground right along Hwy 14. The sites are small. However being along the river is nice. The sound of river drowns out the Highway noise. We would stay here again.
Small campground near Cameron Pass. It mostly survived the Cameron Peak fire. You can see burn scar on the ridge above. It is right on the highway so there is a fair bit of road noise during the day. It quiets down nicely at night. We enjoyed our stay there.
The best place to camp. Close to a small store for those emergency ice needs and very close to some great lakes. Getting a spot right next to the river makes for a very soothing and restful sleep!
