Atlantic RV Resort, Inc. is proudly the sister park to the well-established Harkers Island RV Resort, bringing a fresh, high-quality resort standard to the Atlantic, NC area. It is a destination built by local Down East natives who are passionate about preserving access to the beloved Core Banks, ensuring that the laid-back coastal lifestyle is at the heart of the experience. This dedication to quality is evident everywhere, from the immaculate swimming pool—described by one guest as "the cleanest pool I’ve ever seen"—to the delicious, genuinely local seafood served just steps from your site. Location and Accessibility
**Atlantic RV Resort, Inc.** enjoys a distinct, remote location that defines its peaceful atmosphere. Situated in the "Down East" region of Carteret County, it places you directly in a historically significant, quiet corner of the North Carolina coast.
The official address for your GPS and navigation is:
Address: 1001 Morris Marina Rd, Atlantic, NC 28511, USA
This location is renowned among local users for its proximity to key Outer Banks gateways. For those who enjoy island exploration, the resort is strategically positioned near the ferry terminals for both the Cedar Island Ferry (connecting to Ocracoke Island) and ferries to the uninhabited, historically rich Portsmouth Island and the North Core Banks section of the Cape Lookout National Seashore. While this proximity to isolated coastal beauty is a major draw, local users should note the remote nature of the area. As one customer mentioned, the resort is approximately 30 minutes from major amenities like grocery stores, requiring a little extra planning for provisions. However, the accessibility to major waterways is excellent, with an on-site boat ramp and day dock available for guests who wish to launch their own vessel directly into the Core Sound. Despite the remoteness from urban centers, the resort itself is easy to access via well-maintained roads in this part of the county. The journey to the resort is part of the charm, delivering you into a quiet, laid-back setting almost an hour's drive from the hustle of places like Morehead City.

Customer Reviews
This is a fairly new campground. They are still expanding quite a bit. There is a canal that runs through part of it that has a boat ramp and a walking deck that allows you to walk around it. The campground is clean with a pristine pool. It was the cleanest pool I’ve ever seen. Theres a small laundry room that is well kept and cost $2.00 a load. They have a pretty nice playground for kids as well. There’s a restaurant called Wild Wills Revenge onsite that was really good but pricey. The drawbacks are that you are around 30 minutes from anything including grocery stores. The sweat flies were pretty bad. Overall we enjoyed this place. We didn’t leave. It’s a very peaceful, quiet campground. The staff are friendly as well.
My wife and I loved Atlantic RV. We only had to travel just under an hour. It is a beautiful place overlooking Portsmouth Island which is uninhabited and there is a ferry to get there. It's also not far from the Cedar Island Ferry to Ocracoke Island. Our camp site looked out over the marsh and there is no telling what coastal birds you might see. Wild Will's Restaurant was also excellent. The sea scallops were devine! My wife's shrimp burger was delicious as well. The hushpuppies melt in your mouth. We will definitely go back multiple times a year. The pool areas is very nice and clean.
Great campground! The whole area is well taken care, free wifi, bathrooms are nice (4 set ups with Delta shower heads), pool, kids play area and a location to eat dinner on site (check times before planning). Have stayed a few times and would again!
