Atlantis Family Waterpark Hotel, Ascend Hotel Collection

My family and I had high expectations for our visit, but unfortunately, our experience was far from what we were promised and what we anticipated. There were several issues --Upon arrival, we were informed that the hot tub was not operational. We were never notified of this issue beforehand. --Light bulbs in our room were burned out, and we had to have maintenance in our room right away to fix it. --On Saturday, the water park lights were not even on, and we had to ask multiple times for them to be turned on. --On Sunday, the water park itself was not working at all that day. My dad even went out of his way to try and assist with the situation as he is a retired millwright very experienced working with machinery pumps. In an effort to help, we were disappointed to find out that in addition to the pump being broken, the backup pump had been broken for a long time, too, and the hotel failed to address the issue in a timely manner. --We had been promised a late check-out, yet we were locked out of our room before that time. --Lastly, upon checking out, I was informed that a manager would follow up with me regarding my poor stay, but they never did. I called back on 3 separate occasions and was always told, "I'll take your information down and have a manager call you." That never happened. --I finally wrote a letter to them expressing my dissatisfaction and after a few weeks I got this response emailed to me, "Thank you for taking the time to complete our online survey regarding your recent stay at Atlantis Family Waterpark Hotel, Ascend Hotel Collection. Allow me to apologize on behalf of our hotel for failing to meet your expectations regarding your experience on your recent visit. I have shared your feedback with our Team to better handle these types of situations differently in the future. Feedback from our Choice Privileges members on their experiences is what we use to further our constant improvement. Again, thank you for your time and valuable feedback. We hope for another opportunity to properly host you in the future." This last time we went it was obvious they seemed to have let the place go and not take care of the hotel or their customers. I can't say that we will ever go back anymore.

Nice hotel for the price. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and it’s always been a cozy environment - not too big, not too small. A huge plus is that each room has two real size garbage cans, not those tiny ones all other hotels provide. There is also a built in bottle open on the sink! The only cons are that the hot tub was closed again and it appears that the bar either went out of business or was closed too. If they fix the hot tub and bring back the bar, this hotel will be perfect for a weekend get away. The two water parks are nice and fun - just need to resurrect the hot tub. The rooms also have nice balconies and views.

We are currently here and booked a suite. Less than impressed with the overall experience. Room is good sized and price was good. However: Pull out sofa is broken. Bathroom door lock is broken. Ice machine on our floor is broken (no sign). The suite sleeps 8, we get 3 towels. House keeping ignored our first request for extras. Hard to get ahold of someone.

Very nice! Was greeted by a nice young lady named Michelle. She made checking in very quick and easy told us exactly where to find our room. The room came with a beautiful whirlpool and a big comfy king size bed. Thank you to the Alantis Resort in Wisconsin Dells!

We came during the off season for a quick weekend trip in February. Hotel wasn’t busy. Room was clean. However, there was a trail of dried drops of blood on the hall floor that stayed there until we checked out.
