Adequate camp ground with toilets and water. A little out of the way, so it's not as crowded as other more popular camp grounds. Buy supplies before heading up; the drive is slow and the road is in bad shape. Overall, great.

Good place to stop on the way to Mineral King hiking adventure. The mountain serpentine road to the campground will take you almost an hour to drive and is a bit tiring. Cold springs campground is a little further and more picturesque. At the time of our visit it was closed. Lots of firewood. Caution!!! Lots of trees are falling near by campground

Campsite had been closed for a few years, and there is a lot of downed hazard trees that the park cut prior to opening, so that was a change from last time I was here. But after the fires a few years back, there are still quite a few hazard trees in the surrounding area. Not in the campground, but across the road, a very large tree fell while we were there. When the wind picked up, lots of branches fell from other trees causing the campers across from us to move their table. Other than that, typical, ignorant people with no clue of their surroundings, nor respect for others when camping. Parents with kids that scream and yell at 7am, and walk through others campsites. Other folks using the water spigot as a shower when the sign clearly says "no bathing" and people that are afraid of the dark while camping and keep their light on full bright all night long.

Great campsite. Beautiful location surrounded by forest. Well maintained and is provided with clean latrines and large bear boxes. The campsite is shady and has non potable water all around. Picnic tables and a grilling fire pit round it out. I want expecting soany amenities this length out. My only gripe would be that the actual sites are located very close to each other.
