Atwood Lake Campground, located at 655 County Rd 800 S, Wolcottville, IN 46795, offers a camping experience within the Campgrounds & RV Parks category. You can contact them at (260) 854-3079 or +1 260-854-3079.
Based on customer reviews, Atwood Lake Campground is particularly favored by those interested in fishing. The location is noted as a good spot for fishing activities.
However, reviews indicate that the facilities at Atwood Lake Campground could be improved. There are also mentions of a significant price increase for primitive camping, which has been a point of concern for some campers, specifically the price hike from $12 to $30.
A significant negative point raised in reviews is related to customer service. One reviewer described a negative interaction with a manager named Christie, citing rude behavior regarding a perceived speed limit violation within the campground. While other staff members were described as nice, this particular experience has led some campers to state they will not return.
Additionally, one long term visitor stated that the campground has been declining over the years, with the previous year being an exception. This indicates fluctuations in the campgrounds quality.
In summary, Atwood Lake Campground is a suitable location for fishing enthusiasts, but potential visitors should be aware of the reported issues regarding facility conditions and customer service.

Good location if you're into fishing. Facilities could be better but not bad. The rate increase for primitive camping is a bit much. The price jumped from $12 to $30 per night for bare primitive. I could handle all that. What I can't handle is one of the managers. I believe her name is Christie. She got rude with me about driving 15mph on the 10mph speed limit drive up to the office. I could understand if i were driving that fast past the gate. There are usually a fair amount of people walking around, but before you get to the gate, there's no one. I can't understand her level.of belligerence. The other ladies running the place are nice but I will not be back.
I love atwood campground been going there for 45 yrs. But unfortunately it goes down hill ever year. Last year was an exception.
We've traditionally stayed at the parent campground "Indian Springs" but it's become more of a trailer park than campground. We gave these guys a shot on a holiday weekend and they had a sweet spot by the lake. It was a very pleasant experience and the atmosphere was clean and well managed. Cannot wait to get back there this season. Thanks!
The Good: Very pretty area. Decent size beach. Nice size lots. Quiet. Friendly seasonal campers who ensure activities are scheduled for the campground (kids activities, bingo, golf cart poker runs, corn hole tournaments). The Not so Good: Inconsistent office hours. You don't always receive a call back. The shower houses are in need of major updating and repair and are not always stocked well. The roads are in desperate need of maintenance. Very large ruts (really tough on cars/RVs) and lots of standing water. If the owner would put money into keeping the the shower houses and roads in good shape and hire staff to ensure consistent office hours and consisten answers, I would give this campground a 5/5 vs. the 2/5.
The two ladies running the place were quite rude. We had our camp packed up and out of the sight by 12 then went to the beach. They both came to tell us we needed the leave. When they say checkout is noon they mean you have to leave the property. I would not recommend staying here.
Poor maintenance and management has drug the place down over the years. Facilities in shambles and the bare minimum done by owner. Prices keep going up and amenities keep disappearing. Campers are great friendly folks and it is right off a lake which is nice. But that is bout as far as the good goes.
Too many rules. The 'beach' is barely even there with BARELY any area to swim. No trails. No golf cart rentals. If you go more than 5mph on your golf cart, you're just straight up kicked out. This place is only good for quiet old people wanting to do nothing other than sit outside their camper/tent and enjoy the wind.
