Had a great time relaxing at the campsite. It's a beautiful area. When the temperature drops to freezing, they unhook the hand-pump for water; just keep that in mind if you're thinking about camping there in the Fall. Outhouse was very clean.
My first time here and it was perfect!! It was quiet, our site was huge and just very relaxing!! Only thing...watch out for ticks. I had 4 on me from setting up the tent. Other than that, just beautiful and serene. No showers, no power. There is a vault toilet...all I needed. Just bring your own water to wash hands. Cannot wait to go back!!
Cute, quiet little spot. We books site number 5 and we're very happy with it, but our site neighbors were literal drug addicts. My friend and I went to brush our teeth in the morning at the water pump and a woman came out of the bathroom with track marks and needles. Maybe don't bring the kids out here....
Sweet spot on au sable river to access nice trout water. This is in Mio, MI not Cadillac. I don't know why it says it, can't figure how to correct it.
Great little camping area, and pretty close to Mio. A couple of tips for first-timers... the water pump is a little tricky to find, look for it behind the trash containers. Also, avoid campsite 4 (middle site on the vault toilet side of the road) if there is even a hint of heavy rain during your stay, as it quickly becomes a lake.
