Ausable Point Campground

It could be a five star for the nice location on lake Champlain but one star for each generator around our campsite 5 hours a day!!! I do not understand why the park service have not allowed the use a generators on a lest one loop. Most national and state parks on the Us have set generator loops and non generators loop. Please do the same at Ausable so it could be a five stat, not a noisy one.

Location and nature around is magnificent. Beach ans services are well maintained. Down side is camping is not well maintained. Washrooms and water stations are most out of order. The camping needs investment into new proper installations

Ausable Point Campground is perhaps one of the best locations for camping, water sports, and viewing the beautiful and widest point of Lake Champlain. The staff are friendly and genuinely concerned about safety, ensuring a pleasant and secure stay. The campgrounds are well maintained and clean, offering a perfect and budget-friendly place to stay while visiting Ausable Chasm or on your trip to Montréal. Highly recommended for its great location and excellent facilities!

Decent bathrooms, showers are good, beach is sandy and price is nice. Note the campground is basically on the river delta for the Ausable River, so there's a lot of standing water between sites---expect bugs, and lots of frog and other water creature noises, especially at night. Not sure about drainage during rains or after heavy rains upstream. But usually, a good waypoint for those peddling the Empire Trail or passing through.

Beautiful place to camp. Staff is friendly, It's very clean and well kept; only issue though is 9 times out of 10, there is no hot water in the showers. On occasion you’ll get a hot shower but it either has to be very late at night or you have to wait 30 minuets for it to warm up. Other than the showers, this place is a very great place to bring family.
