Shoutout to the owners! The sweetest, she accommodated us so easily, I had to reserve by phone, and they pay on site. Our experience was great. The campsite is in great conditions.
Nice campground, owners were very friendly. Site was small but very scenic and pretty. Our biggest complaint is that we were not made aware we were situated between the river and a swamp which was a breeding ground for mosquitos. We were not aware and did come with enough to avoid getting eaten alive. Owners should have advised us given all the rain and the proximity to the swamp. Made our stay less pleasant than it could have been.
Beautiful campground. Well kept and spacious lots. The bathrooms are spotless and nice rec hall with games. There is a nice beach on the river and also good fishing if you like to fish. The owners are wonderful and very customer oriented. Very close to shopping and many other places. If you love nature lots here to keep you busy. This is one of the best campgrounds in the Adirondacks. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed.
Pros: quiet, great location, site (143) was spacious, owners are nice. Cons: mosquitos are horrible, site flooded and ponded, shower house was ok, could be cleaner and repairs made, no rec room as depicted on website This campground is pretty much a seasonal place but will accept daily/weekly if available.
Nice campground overall. Friendly owners. Easy on/off 87N. Decent sized sites, clean facilities, recreation room, horseshoe pit, basketball court, tetherball, access to beach/swimming area on Ausable River. Very close to Ausable Chasm. Family friendly. Pet friendly.
