We've camped here the last two summers and have always enjoyed it. The grounds are neat and well maintained. It's very peaceful here and that's what we are looking for in a campground. The owner Doug and his family have always been friendly and helpful.
Amazing place to put your head down. The cabin we had "Trout Run" was fairly new and very clean. The views of the valley in between the mountains were breathe taking. The campground owners Doug and Lynette are amazing people, friendly and very helpful. The night sky views of the stars were amazing.
amazing! friendly owners , very clean great location. easy access nice quiet location very well taken care of campground. kid friendly with nice playground, everything you would want in a campground.
Stayed in one of the cabins, it was absolutely everything you’re looking for in camping without the hassle of staying in a tent. Very clean cabins as well as the showers and restrooms. Scenic trail you can walk right inside the campground, alongside a beautiful running creek giving you breathtaking photo opportunities. The owner is incredibly nice, as well as the rest of the staff, and they have a store on site stocked full of useful stuff in case you forget something at home. Neighbors are all very inviting and pleasant. PET FRIENDLY!!! Lots of stuff to do in nature within a 30 minute drive or less. Came in from Michigan to visit this place and will for sure be going back.
My family and I tent camped at Austin and we LOVED it. I'm a long-time camper and their bathhouse is the best one I've ever experienced. So clean and aesthetically pleasing. We came to the area to star gaze at Cherry Springs State Park. Doug and his family could not have been better hosts. Helpful with directions and recommendations. Note the area is very rural, very few grocery store and restaurant options, so plan ahead. We would definitely go back and stay at Austin Campground. Worth every penny!
Stayed at Austin Campground for the first time and will definitely camp there again. The owners, Doug and his wife, are so kind and accommodating. We stayed at the Coyote cabin. It was spotless and has everything necessary to live. Just bring food. The community bathroom is very, very clean and the water is hot! Enjoyed my stay immensely.
We stayed at the Rabbit Hut. Very nice, perfect spot for a relaxing fun getaway. Doug and Lynette are wonderful hosts. Very clean cabin and shower house. We will be back again. Thanks again, Bob and Angie
Great place, this was our 3rd year under the new owners going up for trout season. Friendly people, try to make you feel welcome. Best shower house you'll ever find at a campground in my opinion.
This place is amazing! Doug and Lynette are amazing host. Bath house was exceptional, we had the rv but used the bath house to shower. The grounds are beautiful. Some family stayed in Cabins they to were sooo nice. Nice little creek, the wobble bridge and a great play area for kids. Pavillon for large gatherings if needed. Best part is the price. Very reasonable
