Wow, the updated and modern Bare Barn is absolutely beautiful. The new cabins are very nice. The food service in the Bare Barn restaurant was delicious, and the kitchen staff was attentive and personable. The beauty of the area is stunning, relaxing, and calming. BUT - our campsite in the meadow was not as pleasurable. The campsite beside us was one big trash bag. Extremely unsightly and disgusting. The outdoor pool hot tub had a broken table nearby and looked very trashy. I would think first-time visitors would not be impressed. Please, we love Avalon! Please be more attentive to the esthetics and appearance of this beautiful resort.
Looking forward to spending our Summer with these really nice people. They went above and beyond to make our accommodations perfect. Nature walks, volleyball, all with the freedom to relax and feel natural, as nature intended.
We visited right before the big Memorial Day weekend, so it was very quiet and fairly empty during our stay. The cabin was clean and tidy, and the air conditioner worked like a charm. The facilities I checked out (indoor and outdoor pools, gym, indoor hot tub) were well enough maintained and clean. The outdoor hot tub hadn't been set up yet so was unavailable. The people we met were absolutely lovely, and I felt comfortable the whole time. I very much want to return.
This was our first time at this resort. We are fortunate to live within a reasonable drive. They have a promotion of $10 person for first time visits, so we decided to check it out. It was a warm day not too hot for us white as sheets folks, perfect. We were there just for the day. The drive in was a bit daunting as you travel deep into the woods, but once you get to their driveway and welcome sign it was a relief that there is civilization on the horizon. We had a very nice time, it was a Sunday and a holiday so there were few guests, but we still managed to chat with some people, that were local to us. Both pools were clean, the snack bar was fine. It felt so liberating to swim in the buff, our favorite activity at nude resorts. In speaking to a couple they had new Year's Eve parties, but the building burned down a few years ago, but has since been rebuilt, but still not open. Hopefully it will be available this year. Will definitely attend the party. So overall it's not fancy but a very welcoming place, we will return. Next time we'll get a room or condo, we're not campers.
Stayed here for the week of fourth of July. Cabins are really nice. No TV, but who comes here to watch TV? Staff was very nice as were the guests. Made some new friends! I hated to leave! It was my first time at a resort such as this. Very relaxing and stress free! Will be visiting again next year! (Sooner if I can). Be free, be naked, be happy!
