This is a free dispersed campground with lots of flat spots for various kinds of camping. Doesn't really matter what spot you pick. You will have a gorgeous view of the mountains. This is dry camping. There are two vault toilets in the camping area, but no garbage cans or water. So pack it in and pack it out. The road to the camping area is gravel and pretty well maintained. It's a little washboard here and there, but any vehicle should make it with no problems! Verizon has coverage here. Could easily spend the max 14 days here.
Beautiful BLM land so free camping. About 6 miles on a decent hard pack road from the highway. You pass thru some private property/ranches so be respectful of their land. No amenities so pack it in and pack it OUT. Cell service comes and goes. Stop to read the historical signs just as you pull off the highway. There's so much history there, if only the trees could talk.
This place doesn't cost any money to camp! It is very beautiful here looking at the mountains although there is no electricity or water, they do have men and women bathrooms and there is a creek just north of the campsite still on the campsite.
One of my FAVORITE places I've been so far. FREE rv / motorhome / tent camping on what seems to have at one time been a very popular camping area. Full of history with many walking trails, beautiful views and plenty of space for my 32ft Motorhome. Such a natural and peaceful area to enjoy !
Beautiful place although you can hear some trucks from a logging area near by. Beautiful views and we even got visited by cows! Peaceful and spacious. Bathrooms are clean.
