Great camping many sites was available i preferably like to go on week days sometimes can't get a spot on weekends but i got lucky and got a site on the week end .All the site's were nicely kept clean and grass cut. Shower house was clean plus had hot water and was close enough that you could walk to it fairly guick. The electric hook up was located in very accessible spot on the site . Fire wood was available for a good price . To sum it up was a good experience and I would recommend it for all.
What a beautiful and peaceful campground. Love that we are able to stay during opening week even though the water has been disconnected for the season. There is a hole in the ground toilet area, but sometimes theres a line. Especially in the early morning right before everyone is heading out for the woods. Bring your own toilet paper and flashlight just in case. You will need bottle waters for your stay. Also, I suggest you bring a gallon of water and paper towels for hand washing. Minutes away from the public hunting access. Playground and overlook of the lake right next door.
Wife and I tent camped here 3x now. Each time is better than last. (Nothing bad first time either). Ground host is very helpful and friendly. Grounds are always clean. Believe it or not, insects have never been a problem. Can't wait to go back.
4 stars only because there are many friendly spiders BUT that is just my issue. Learning about Mark Twain was awesome and the lake was filled with many water fowl. Absolutly beautiful with a symphony of frogs, insects, and many different birds.
Very lush and shaded. Helpful and hard working host.
