We have always loved this park. This is a halfway point for us when we are headed to see family. Both sides of the bridge are a great place for the kids to walk around and explore. Restrooms have always been open and there are shaded structures for picnic. Lots of rocks for the kids to climb on even an area where you can go down and fish. Very easy for large vehicles to get in and out.
Fun place for the family. The splash pad was refreshing on a hot August day. The older boys enjoyed the water falls from the lake/river dam.
Awesome park with river access, restrooms, and overnight RV spots. Full hookups $45/night, there is an envelope drop box on site. Nice and quiet, within walking distance to downtown and lots of bars and restaurants.
Badu Park has a lot! A lake on the Llano River for kayaking and canoeing (bring your own boat), playscape, walking trail, Dam walking, swimming in the river, picnic pavilions, splash pad, and an RV park. All of it is pretty well maintained.
Beautiful day in March 2023 to walk through this gorgeous park. The trail itself is an easy walk along the river, very short (1/2 mile). If you decide to walk the granite rock towards the bridge, it can be difficult if you have bad ankles or bad knees. There is a bathroom if you need it. This time of year is not that crowded, unlike the summer months. Gorgeous Bluebonnets was a sight to see, and the fragrance was phenomenal.
